It is important that each paramedic receive an orientation to the CMEMSD policies, procedures, and protocols.  This orientation is the responsibility of the ambulance service manager.  For multicounty services this is the responsibility of the regional manager.  The orientation process must include a protocol test.  The attached Orientation Verification Form must be read in detail and signed by the paramedic and the manager before medical control will be authorized. 

This process must be repeated each time a new Jurisdictional Medical Control form is required.
